Founder & Director
George Lewis is an in-demand freelance Trombonist based in London. He has become extremely experienced, achieving his diploma in 2016, his Undergraduate in 2020 and his Masters with Distinction in 2022.
George was a scholar at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where he studied under three of the top renowned Trombonists in the country, Carol Jarvis, Graham Lee, and jazz with Winston Rollins. George has also studied under Dan Jenkins and Phil White.
George works regularly in and out of London specialising in Theatre and Commercial music. Most recently as the regular deputy trombone on Bugsy Malone (UK Tour) and as trombone for West End Stars Presents: One Night of Neil. George also works within the orchestral world and during his studies participated in side by sides with Philharmonia and BBC Concert Orchestra.
George has also had the pleasure of working and rehearsing with members of The Main Street Philharmonic at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This led to George being invited to Audition for the prestigious group. George auditioned in January 2020 and whilst he was not successful, he is the only British musician in history to secure this audition. On top of this experience, George spent the summer’s of 2018 and 2019 travelling the US to take lessons and shadow an assortment of trombonists in their respective fields. This includes, Alex Iles, Brian Santero, Jennifer Wharton, and Joseph Alessi.
Alongside his busy schedule, George rehearses and performs regularly with Brass Dectet, Trafalgar Brass, which he founded in 2020. A highly regarded group where professionals have said “there’s not a weak link in the group”.
George is now continuing his busy life as a freelancer and is excited for what the future holds where he has recently had his pre-approval to recieve a Green Card to move to the United States on a permanent basis in 2027.
